Advantages of oiled surfaces
Unlike lacquer, a natural oil finish soaks into the wood instead of sealing it under a plastic film. The grain stays visible and touchable, and the surface can breathe.
Scratches and everyday wear are easy to repair: lightly sand the affected spot and re-oil it, no professional refinishing needed. The oils we use are certified food-safe, so the surface is safe for direct contact with food from day one.

Step 1
Wash by hand
Only with mild soap and warm water. Never put solid wood in the dishwasher or leave it to soak.

Dry immediately
Wipe dry with a clean cloth right after washing. Never leave the wood to air-dry.

Re-oil every few weeks
Treat the surface with a certified food-safe oil to keep the wood supple and protected from moisture and cracking.
